Product Details
+Falkirk rockers Sandy Drysdale, Gerry Dickson, Bill Barclay and Ronnie Brookes - The Falkirk Road Runners - recruited female tambourine player Mary Ann Whitlow when they tried to hit the big time.
In May 1964, the band headed to London's Lyceum Ballroom, to compete against 13 others in the 'National Beat Group Contest'. Up for grabs was a recording contract, and a cheque for £5,000.
Although they didn't win, Sandy, and some of his old school pals, were still performing live in 2012.
